Billing Information


In order to protect your privacy, M.S. Shook Student Health Service will not post specific medical details on your student account; any charges incurred that are placed on your student account will be listed as "Health Services Charge". An itemized statement is available upon request. Please be aware that when you choose to utilize your health insurance, whomever is listed as the policy holder (the main person on the health insurance plan) will receive an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from the insurance company. An EOB includes the services you received during your visit, the amount the insurance company is paying, and the amount (if any) you are responsible for. You do not have to use your health insurance for each visit at M.S. Shook Student Health Service; you can choose when and if you would like to use your health insurance. If you choose not to use your health insurance you will need to let a front desk staff member, nurse, or provider know you will not be using your health insurance for services rendered at each appointment.


M.S. Shook Student Health Service is considered an in-network provider for the following plans:

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield®
  • Student BlueSM (SHIP)
  • MedCost®
  • Aetna®

It is your responsibility to provide M.S. Shook Student Health Service with your most current health insurance card. This is necessary for M.S. Shook Student Health Service to be able to process any charges on your behalf to your insurance plan as well as for any referral needs you may have.
