Student AppCard is REQUIRED for all services!
Whenever there is any doubt or question about the severity of a health emergency immediately call 911 or go to the Watauga Medical Center Emergency Room. You may also contact Appalachian State University Police at (828)262-8000.
Limited Service & Weekends
Limited Service and Weekend hours are to care primarily for students with acute injury or illness that cannot wait until our full service clinic hours and are staffed by registered nurses. Appropriate nursing treatment and/or referral to the clinician on call may be provided as necessary with either a Medical Doctor (MD), Physician's Assistant (PA), or a Nurse Practitioner (NP). Access to the Laboratory, Radiology (X-Ray), and full Pharmacy is not available during any After-Hours nurse clinics.
Fall/Spring Hours
- Semester Breaks: 8:00am - 11:00am
- Saturday: 8:00am - 11:00am
- Sunday: 8:00am - 11:00am

Whenever our clinic is not open, you may contact our after-hours telephone nurse service. To speak with a Registered Nurse, call (828)262-3100 and follow the prompts. If you have an immediate emergency, dial 911.
