Health Service Fees

Student Health Access Fee

For the 2024-2025 academic year, the Student Health Access Fee is $177.50. This fee covers clinician visits at the Student Health Service. However, students are responsible for any bills from Watauga Medical Center, outside physicians, or pharmacies.

Fee Coverage

No charge for clinician visits (Doctor, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician’s Assistant) during Regular or After-Hours Clinics.

Most lab work done at M.S. Shook Student Health Service is covered if deemed necessary by our clinicians. Costs for lab work ordered by outside clinicians may vary.

Additional Charges

For any extra charges, you can pay with Cash, Check, Express Account, Credit Card, Debit Card, or add the charge to your tuition account with a valid Student ID. If we are in network with your insurance provider, we can file charges (excluding pharmacy) directly to your insurance.

Note: Prices are subject to change without notice.
