Required Enrollment Steps
These are the necessary steps in your journey to becoming an official Mountaineer. Please complete these required enrollment steps in your MedPortal by July 1st.
Submit Immunization Records
Get the required immunizations (opens in a new tab) from your healthcare provider, if you have not already done so. Before attending classes and living in university housing, students must provide an immunization record as required by University Policy and North Carolina law (opens in a new tab). Immunization records can be uploaded through the MedPortal, faxed to 828-262-6958, mailed, or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org
Complete your Health History Form
Students are no longer required to complete the Health History Form before enrolling. Students will receive a notification to complete their Health History Form before their first appointment.
Select your Health Insurance Option
Students are required to have health insurance and must enroll in or waive the mandatory health insurance each semester. Students are automatically charged for the Student Health Insurance Plan when they register for classes and must provide proof of insurance in order to reverse the cost.
